For all of those who wonder about TBS and longevity thought I would give an update on mine. It is still going strong, years and years later. 90 Gallon tank, NO FILTRATION other that the magic TBS rock. Lots of unique atlantic life that has survived for years and years. My tank has been up and running for about seven years.

Wow

I cannot believe it has been that long since you started that tank......is sad the monster thread you had did not survive....but the tank did!

I hate that thread was lost. I wish I had archived it properly. Oh, well hindsight is 20/20

So here is another update. As always TBS ROCKS!!!!! I got the initial shipment back on 10/18/2003 nearly eight years ago. As you can see from the posted picture my TBS tank continues to thrive. To this day life that came on the rock thrives, along with all the stuff I added from other parts of the world.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Here is an image from nearly 8 years ago in the very beginning. This should give you an idea of what this rock goes from and to:

Year 8

Is it just me, or are those two different tanks? The overflow looks like it's in different positions in the two pictures...
Either way, it's still a gorgeous tank!
What's your waterchange schedule? Do we get a picture of your sump?

Yes, the 75 sprung a leak a year ago and was moved into a 90 on the same stand. A good friend and I moved everthing including the sand into rubbermaid totes including most of the water, and put it back into the ninety. Took abotu 4 or so hours.

I do a 10 gallon water change about every two weeks. Sump is tight, will try to get a picture.
