What is the difference between a "mantis for 9.95" or a mantis for "50$ shipped to your door!"?

is the shipping like 40 dollars or something? both of those lables are right next to eachother. both the same mantis too, wenn. (cant spell it)

I believe the $9.95 price is for you to pick up the Mantis and the $50.00 is for the price of the Mantis and overnight shipping.

TBS does most of its shipping airport to airport so they dont' get the shipping discounts that the major online fish vendors get.

It cost $35 for me to send one from MD to WI...so with packing materials and such, $40 is correct.

Yep. Remember, it's not just the mantis, it's the container, the water, the foam box, the cardboard box... and it's priority overnight so the critter doesn't suffocate or die in its own waste.

and it ends up at your door (granted your there to pick it up). i mean personally, i think a reliably IDed N. wennerae right to my door for 50$ is a good deal.

A very nice couple near me gave me a wennerae they got from TBS. It is a very pretty little critter. I actually have him in my mixed reef, it is working out great.

Very difficult to see if you have a load of LR in your tank. I almost never see him.
