TDS Meter : Water Readings

Hello,
Picked up a dual TDS meter.
Reading in Vestal are:

Water out of TAP : 153
Water out of RO unit : 5
Water out of DI unit : 0

I have install the unit before / after the DI unit as I can not control the water coming from the tap.

Thats the same way mine is set up

I have mine set up similar except, my "in" reading is between the carbon and the mebrane and my out reading is afte the DI chamber.

out is : 1 to 3

I do not currently have one set up on my water yet. Hey geo do you think that if I brought over a sample of my water you would be able to test it or does it have to be running water you test? I have never used one of these meters before.
