TDS of Nashville water?

Does anyone know the TDS of tap water in Nashville? It may vary around the area but I am trying to compare water hardness to my new location in Durham, NC. I don't think I ever actually measured it.

My TDS is 83 here. I can tell that the water is softer here, but I am trying to decide by how much.

Thanks!

Thanks. The water is noticibly softer here.

I just bought a red pistol shrimp which will hopefully pair up with the yellow watchman goby pictured.

A LFS in Raleigh had 50# boxes of premium fiji rock for $150 today and I found the shrimp there. I'll have to cure it, but it will be to set my 37g reef back up.

I think I am going to use your PC lights for that tank instead of the 90gal. It will certainly be less expensive than buying a new T5 retro kit.

Hopefully the pollen is noticibly softer too :)

Wow $3/lb for premium fiji. Nice deal! Those PC's should work fine in your 37.

175 here in Spring Hill

BTW, how is NC? Easy trip up and all? The devil's hand I got from you still looks great and the cap has grown quite abit. Sounds like NC has a few better deals than here. Take care.

NC is nice. The weather and people are not a lot different than in Nashville.

There are salt-water/reef only stores here, which is something that Nashville doesn't have. One in Durham and at least 2 in Raleigh. I don't know if that is because marine tanks are more popular here closer to the coast (but still 2 hrs away).

Actually prices are about the same here on fish and supplies although the selection of fish does seem to be a bit better. AQ and Fins seemed to always stock the same types of fish and EB only had a handful of fish in stock whenever I went there.

The deal on LR was only because the owner of this shop always buys a few extra boxes of rock when he orders and sells them cheaper as uncured. Cured fiji is $7-8/lb here and other types are up to $10/lb.

Glad to hear the corals are doing well. Both of those frags originally came from other club members.

I got my TDS meter today. I checked my tap in Clarksville, TN. It was 120. Here is the shocker. I've been using the RO machine at Wal-Mart forever, and I decided to check the TDS. 112.

So, Culligan users, you may want to check your water with a TDS meter.
