tds reading

After I filled the pitcher I use for water changes with new ro/di water tds is 0. After I put my heater in to warm the water up to top off my tank the tds is now 2-3. Is this normal?

yup, it is sediment that has dried up on your heater. Most likely its just a little salt. If you like you can try cleaning the heater with rodi water then putting it in a new pitcher of rodi water, it then should read zero .

It is safe TDS's since the water was 0 this is just stuff from the heater salt risidue, not copper. phosphates ect from pre RODI water.

you could also try soaking the heater in vinegar.
