Tear in side of clown

I have recently noticed what looks like a tear in the side of my perc. clown. It now looks like her intestine may be coming out, but I'm not sure it could just be the flap of skin from the tear. She is in a 12 g. nano with one other perc. the smaller male. There is also a red firefish. All three have been in the tank for almost 2 years. Nothing new has been added to the tank.
Does this sound familiar to anyone, parasite, infection, or just a bite? Her behavior is normal.

that is exactly what it is. Lights haven't come on but it looks like the parasite has come out.

its easy to treat, i use the gel tek as well. just soak theyre food in it, its insane trying to get them to eat a drop of gel. lol

Im not sure about treating them in-reef. i know the meds wouldent hurt anything, but it might be hard to monitor how much medicine its actually getting.
 
Im no expert. actually that link i gave u is part of a fish sick forum, a fish doctor runs it and knows everything u could possibley need to ask about a sick fish. I personally think they are worms but would hate to tell u wrong info. She would be better to ask :)

good luck, your fish will be just fine as long as you help it out. its not a kill overnight type of thing, so take your time and do it right
