Tek Light Question

I just recieved my 36" 4 bulb tek light from reefgeek. I didnt have enough cash to get any more bulbs but I do have the two free from reefgeek. Does anyone know if the unit itself will fire without all 4 bulbs in the unit? If it does then mine is damage as mine is not firing....

it has 2 switches.
It will fire when u have 2 bulbs in the designated 2 spots per ballast wired respectively.
Just put the 2 in the right slots like the 2 middle or the 2 outer and it will fire.

Thanks, I didnt think of putting a bulb on each of the outsides or the two in the middle. Thats what it was. I had put 2 bulbs in the first two, and then skipped one...but got it up and running when I tried your idea...

Anyway, heres a couple of pics, This tank has been sitting with saltwater in it circulating, and nothing else...Im on the 2 year extended gathering supplies/stocking plan for this tank

I just got the 65k GE bulbs at reefgeek that came with the unit. As you can tell my tank isnt fully able to utilize the tek lights yet...I plan on probably going with a 10k bulb and then an actinic to give it a little more bluish color...

Im very impressed with how much light just two bulbs are in this unit. The above pic is with 2 bulbs only. It almost blinded me when I turned the unit on for the first time.
