on a 72 gallon bow, the sides are 12 inches wide...the 4 lamp tek lite is 12 inches wide...i wanted to go with the 6 lamp but its to wide (16.5 inches) i think it would look stupid...so, depending on your responses, i am going to order the 4 lamp soon...so...on to my question...

would i be able to keep sps and clams in the upper half of the tank...how about an LTA on the sand...BTA on the sand?

also, id liketo thank EVERYONE on RC...even the people who seem that their sole purpose is to argue just cuz they make me laugh...but for real thanks to all rc peeps on all the help over the last year and all the great info...

I have a tek 4 bulb over a standard 55 and I have had very good growth with my sps and a crocea clam in the upper half of the tank. I tried a bta and it just kept trying to find shade in the tank. I eventually gave it away. It just didn't seem to like the light. The bow in the tank without the bulbs directly over it might let you get away with some lower light corals. The 4 bulb unit will cut down your bulb combination options but you can definitely keep sps with the 4 bulb unit.
