Tell me about your large tank sump system! I am in the finishing stage of completing my Twin 180 project and would like to see some of the sumps the big boys use!
My tenative plan is a sump that is 6x23x14 possibly 7x23x14 so 100 to 116 gallon capacity. The sump will be under my stand. Basicly I want a dirty chamber(drain area from the six drains, then a fuge area for macro algaee mostly to help aide PH problems(my home is air tight, have co2 build up) and some bubble chanbers.
Two sequence darts are my sump return pumps, I have 1.5 plumbing so that should be plenty of flow. The skimmer will be external(MRC4 recirc skimmer feed by a mag 12 and a blue line for the recirculation loop.
The chiller is a 1/2 horse pacific coast also fed be a blue line, the chiller will be plumbed into the sump, with a bipass that can also be redirected to feed directly into the 180s.
It would be nice to see some sumps out there for ideas! I would hate to build one to later regret some feature I did not consider. Thanks for taking the time to read this way to wordy post!
