I need to remove a fairly large BTA It is well established at this spot and has it's foot into a crevice. I CANNOT remove the rock he is attached to. I have tried to dig him out and thougt I had killed him in the process ... but he made a recovery. It's either him or my acro, so he has to go. You guys must have some "tricks up your sleeve" to share ???
thanks so much

HI Lynn

Nice to see someone else from Alberta:)

Try pointing your power head at it. That sometimes makes them a little upset and they move on there own. Or if you can get down by his foot i have read people using ice cubes. Try putting the cube as low down as you can get to his foot and myabe the cold will make him let go.

Let us know how it goes.

Lisa, thanks, I'll try a ice pack...cubes probably melt too quickly. I don't think a power head will work, except to make him move and I don't want him to move...I just want him to let go.
The village idiot....why do you ask such a question? Come for a nice drive and you can have him!
cheers

Break the rock around the foot(dremel, hammer, whatever you feel comforatble about). Make sure not to break the rock touching the foot or it could rip/tear it. This is another successful method if done properly.
