Temp conflict

So I have a JBJ digi temp on my tank. its reading 76.1. I bought a HDE for saltwater mixing and I put it in the tank. it reads 73.7. Which is more accurate? how do I check to make sure the gauge I use is accurate?

Not sure if your instruments will reach 32deg or 212deg. But if they do you can make bucket of slush water and zero out at 32 or boil water and both should read 212 at sea level.

Not sure what an HDE is but the other temp gauge looks cheap and could very well be inaccurate.. You will need something "quality" / "proven" to see which one (or both) is off and by how much..

The HDE is a cheapy. What is a recommended good quality brand?
