temp is too high!

I just put a set of Orbit Extreme 4x54 w. HO T-5s on my 55 gal. I'm worried because my water temp. is sitting at about 83 degrees right now. Under my old set of PCs it ran at 80-81 degrees max, in the middle of summer. It's only going to get hotter here in KS. It's the middle of the day and I'm trying to run with just the actinics on (darn it). Is there anything I can do about this, short of buying a chiller? I guess I'd rather not put a fan on the tank (no room under the stand on my sump), but if I have to.....
Any advice would be much appreciated!
(BTW, my AC is set to 74 degrees).

Fans will definatly do the trick. If there is another option short of a chiller - I'd love to hear it... You may try raising the lights off the water more, but that may have an adverse affect on your corals.

Are you home during the day, or night? Change your lighting cycle up. Maybe run the lights at night, not during the day.

you can have an acrylic holder built to house a couple computer fans right on top of your sump, that would probably help and wouldn't take up any space at all. Check out melev's website, www.melevsreef.com (I think that's it) and check out the sumps. It'll show where he built similar fan holders.

Gotcha. Corals aren't an issue, I've only got some zoos in the tank right now, but would like to add some eventually. Thanks for the advice Ramble!
