Temp/pH probe question

I am correct in understanding that the probes are not H2O proof? If am correct, will any kind of Styrofoam work to keep the wire probe interface above water?

Yes; most probes are not made to be fully submerged. I float mine on styrofoam; works nice. Also a good idea to clip the wire to the top of the sump so that it wont drift or get tipped on it's side.

The probes are water proof, however, we don't recommend that they are fully submerged. Over time the wire on the probes may degrade and cause the probe to fail prematurely.
