Temp Problems

I have a temp problem on my Aquapod24 after running the fans with the lights for a full day yesturday, the temp went up to 84.
I have ordered a Iceprobe, however until it is installed, can I feeze some RO/DI and put a chunk into the rear sump to cool things down durnig the day?

Yep, that is a common short term fix. Another is floating a frozen water bottle back there and propping open the feeding lid and aiming a fan at it but that speeds up evaporation.

If you get the iceprobe let us know how you like it and how it works, I'm sure a lot of people would be interested.

Good luck. I'm also having temp issues with my Aquapod. Just upped my MH from 70 to 150 and when the room temp gets over 70, the tank jumps up to 84. I'm looking at the IceProbe or the MicroChiller (an IceProbe installed in a HOB). I'd like to see how yours works out for you.

Honestly IceProbe on anything more than 10G is a waste of money if you ask me. Get a real chiller. It's easier to install and you know it will work.
