temp question

what would be a safe temp for a reef tank? the reason i ask is I just set up a new tank (with/mh,s) and during the day it gets almost 84 degrees.

any thoughts?

IMO, 84 is fine, but I wouldn't go higher then that.

All of my tanks swing from 78.5 to 83. (( the swing is less during the winter ))

That really depends on you. I keep my place pretty cool in the winter (( 65* )) and not as cool, but still cool in the summer time (( 72* )). So it will really be determined by what the ambient temperature of your place is during the summer.
