IYE,

1. What is your ideal temp?
2. What temp above ideal will start to cause zoanthids to close up?
3. What temp next will start to cause damage?

Try to keep it 78-80 but in summer my tank has hit 86°f and zoas were still open at that point.

I keep my tank at 78. Before I added apex to shut things down at 82 mine has got to 84 and nothing liked it. It say damage anything over 86 but that is just opinions. Good luck

77-78 my LEDs and some pumps shut off at 82 with only one pump remaining to keep water circ. and it shuts off heater till temp dips to 76

My ideal temp is 78, but it fluctuates in the 78-80 range throughout the course of the day.

My zoanthids don't seem to care if the temperature hits the ceiling in the summer, (85) or bottoms out in the winter. (76) No problem.

I've hit the high 80s to 90, chiller malfunction, and things established in the tank were ok sps included but recent additions didn't make it.
