Temperate reef nano?

Has anyone tried to establish a small temperate reef tank? Something just a bit higher than California shoreline water temps, 70F, or so, might be really interesting. A nano might be interesting because of its smaller water volume to cool. An added benefit is that there would be less light needed.

Perhaps it would be possible to use thermo-electric cooling rather than a loud compression cycle chiller. I am considering a small tide pool like setup.

If anyone has experience here, please advise.

Thanks,
John

Most likely with the thickness of the glass you would get tank sweating. Check out the Advance Reef Topics forum there are a few Coldwater Reefers that can answer you questions.
