Temperature control switch?

I have a fan running on my nano to cool down the heat from the MH. The fan is a little bit too strong so if I left it on for too long it would lower the temperature below the desired level.

I was wondering if there's a temperature switch or something that I could plug my fan in so it only turns on when the temperature is above some degree.

TIA!

I dont know if this helps, but here we go.
Go to home depot and look at the attic fans. Near that there are thermostats. They are meant to turn on an attic fan at a temperature that you set. 80 - 140 or somewhere around that. I suppose you could hook up any 110 fan that you like.

Just put the fan on a plug in appliance timer along with the lights so whenever the light s are on the fan is too. 3 prong timers are like $8 for a good one.

Pmolan, I went to home depot and the guy said those thermostat only works for 40ish if i remember correct. He they wouldn't work for 110 fans.

AZDesertRate, that's what I had before but the fan is just too strong that even with the light and the heater it still lower the temp too low.

As single stage controller, such as the Ranco listed above is exactly what you are looking for, although I prefer the dual stage. The dual controls the heater and cooling source.

Do like I do then and slow the fans down. 12v DC fans can run anywhere between 5 or 6 and 12 volts or more. I use a variable voltage DC power supply you can get at Wal Mart or any electronics store for less than $10. My 120mm (4") Vantec Stealths run at 53 CFM full speed at 12v and slow down significantly at 10.5v or even 9v with just the turn of dial.

Sounds like you have way too much fan for your application.
