I have to agree...One way of saving money and cooling off the tank would be to lift the lid in the up position (just high enough to allow light to penetrate your tank)...and position a fan to blow across the water surface. However a sure fix would be to purchase a chiller along with a longer return to pump water through and out the chiller.
I removed the lid completely...removed the black filter compartments...added a CPR overflow box and sump...added a AquaC protein skimmer...and upgraded my lighting to a 150w SunPod.
My temperature is stable and I can finally keep clams and small hardy sps corals.
