I have a 24g nano and the temperature gets very high. It is a transworld 24g nano. Has anyone had this problem? if so how did you fix it?

It's an ongoing issue with many people here. Fans blowing over the water can really help, chillers are probably the best way to maintain a stable temp.

Well i added a second PC fan! And cut holes in the cover that match the size of the fans (cover that covers the lights and fan!) And that brought the temp down from 82deg to 78deg, Ithen used a old credit card to prop the lid up about 3in! And that brought the tank down to 76.5, and that is where im at with my cooling issue. I hope that helps. oyea i changed my stock pump out to MJ900.

Yeah, due to the tank lids on most nanos heat builds up. Most people who cool their tanks use fan which in turn causes evporation thus cooling down the rocks and sand. the rocks and sand is what holds the temp.

Try cutting holes in your lid in places that you can not see. Install a new fan or another fan somewhere.

Or if you have money, get a chiller.

I have to agree...One way of saving money and cooling off the tank would be to lift the lid in the up position (just high enough to allow light to penetrate your tank)...and position a fan to blow across the water surface. However a sure fix would be to purchase a chiller along with a longer return to pump water through and out the chiller.

I removed the lid completely...removed the black filter compartments...added a CPR overflow box and sump...added a AquaC protein skimmer...and upgraded my lighting to a 150w SunPod.

My temperature is stable and I can finally keep clams and small hardy sps corals.

Good Luck.
