I bought this as a 1/2 " frag spring 2010
blue tips iridescence only shows up in the picture (i-phone)
body is a pale tan to white

what do you think?

The structure and shape of the colony seems to fit Acropora tenius. What do the corallites look like? Can you snap a close up pic of the branches with the polyps retracted?

I pulled it out of the water and took this picture.

That works. From the picture looking top down on a branch, it looks really close to the A. tenuis in this picture.

I was hoping is was a tenuis.
Is that pretty normal amount of growth from a frag in 2010 to now?

It is growing pretty thin so I would say so. If it were to receive more water flow the branches would be shorter and thicker.
