terelabrus rubrovittatus, yellowbar hogfish... due to arrive tuesday.

good point. I've been target feeding & it does go after it. It is becoming a little more curious & is roaming a little farther this evening. I plan on finding a new home for the damsels because they are breeding & making a mess in my tank with the sand they stir-up....sand everywhere! the 2 OSFF & yellowtail blenny are in a separate tank connected to my main system. If things don't work-out for him or her in 300, I could relocate to the 60 gl. where the filefish & blenny are. I really believe it will be OK & settle in when I find a new home for those crazy damsels. my plan is to catch them at feeding time one evening...hopefully I can catch 2 or 3 at one time?

I think that the 60 gallon would be a perfect home for the terelabrus.

day 3. At feeding time the fish darted out amongst all the other fish waiting in a group to be feed. after placing the mysis in the tank, the new guy really went for it. It ate 5 big pieces, competing with the big boys I would say. That really made me feel better about the situation. I think it's going to be OK....very happy with this developement!!!!

technologically speaking... you are correct! but my yellow tang is a very, very passive fish. bought it from blue zoo...tank raised! when I bought my chevron tang & put it in my system(yellow tang about 6 times bigger than the chevron)(chevron a little bigger than a quarter) the yellow tang never raised a fin.... those 2 fish are buddy's. as for the blue tang(hippo), check out blue zoo's description for this fish....."peaceful"!!!

thanks!!! On the second feeding friday night, the yellowbar really went for it again(mysis) & fought my black clown for a real big piece that was in its mouth....he took it away from the clown! maybe this fish is not as docile as I thought? exploring the rocks a little more on one side of the tank. It's not a lazy fish.
