Terrible Customer Service

I paid top dollar for the Tunze silence recirculation pump. It worked for 2 minutes before it broke. Now I have to pay $22 bucks to send back a defective product. Any reputable company would have eaten the shipping costs. I would certainly expect it when I'm paying top dollar to receive a product that works. Also they don't have a toll free support number? What kind of shoddy company is this? I definitely would recommend staying away from them. Ecotech, eheim, even mag drives are the way to go. I don't know about their customer support but I'm happy about that since they have always provided me with high quality working products.

I find that hurling insults doesn’t usually result in the best support, but Roger is nicer than most……….

I don't know where you bought it, or who you're dealing with but in my book, Tunze customer service has been exemplary.

I had to pay to ship warranty stuff back to ecotech. Not sure why you ranting about shipping. Ship via USPS to save some $$. Never had a problem in dealing with Roger or any of the company you stated. All good customer service.

I don't recall paying shipping for my warranty items.

if you bought it and it only worked for 2 minutes, why did you not take it back to the store you bought it from for a replacement or a refund? if i bought something and it broke so quickly, i'd be back at the store looking for my money.

as for the shipping deal...you can't expect a company to eat shipping funds. nobody does, as it would eat into the already mediocre markup on most products.
