Test filling old tank and silicone

Would be greatfull of other peoples experiences in testfilling old tanks. It is a 150 gallon all glass tank and now it is in my front room I cannot take it out again to test fill it (silly me). Any ideas on testing the condition of a tank or do I have to suck it and see. (swimming tonight) It sat dry for 3 months so it should not have silicone dry rot. Would it be worth running new silicone beads down the front glass where it joins the side glass as cleaning by the prevous owner has worn away some of the bead. All help and comments welcome.

They sit a lot longer than that in the manufacturers warehouse and the local fish store showroom. I wouldn't worry about it!
