Test Kits?

I am curiuos as to what test kits are best and what most of the reefers are testing for other than ph/alk calcium.I have heard alot about salifert but have never used them. Any info will be appreciated.

Salifert kits are top notch. The instructions kind of suck and the website is pretty much useless... but the kits are good and the owner (Habib here at RC) is usually available to answer questions.

Cal, PH, Alk, Mag

Though just about any PH kit will do!

Do you dose Mag?

I have a few times... Randys 2 part is what I dose. If you keep up with water changes then the mag will likely not be a problem.

Homemade ca/alk/mag powder, similar to B-Ionic but a ton cheaper and without trace elements. There's a post in the last 24 hrs with a link to the article where he goes over everything in detail (don't have it on me, sorry!).
