Testing Equiptment

Need some advice on testing equip. Right now I have the API master test kit. I know there has to be better ways to test all the paramiters. Please let me know what works best for you.

I have found better ways to measure PH, but what about Ammonia, nitrate, and nitrites.

I have a feeling this kit which is only drops is not that good.

I use all Salifert kits for alk, Ca, nitrate, Phosphates. silicates, iodine and magnesium. A Milwaukee pH monitor watches pH and a Sybon refractometer measures salinity.
I don't really worry about nitrites and ammonia in an established system so I just use a cheap Aquarium Pharm. liquid master test kit for those.
