i think some time ago, people started calling *all* blue zoos 'tubbs'. it's just as possible your previous ones were or weren't true 'tubbs' as it is for these.

we have a blue variant that's been floating around bburg/roanoke for a long time that came in as a wild colony to Z that i've seen people call and sell as 'tubbs'. i personally think it's a better variant because the skirt turns bluish-gray and not just brown like all the true tubbs pics i've seen.

and even if they are the same, different tanks will give them different appearances so it's too early to say one is brighter than the other till it fully settles into your tank.

Well I was told specifically that they were Tubbs when i bought them, but just like everything, The person who sold them could have been mistaken which in turn makes me mistaken.

manderx is probably right, could just be the adjustment form your tank to mine they are under MH now, could just be mine arent tubbs. please dont tank it the wrong way im just trying to figure out what i have.

frag is doing great though thanks again.
ill post a pick up when my lights come on in a little bit so people know how nice the frags are

These were what I thought were Tubs Blue, what do the other Blues look like.

on all the pics i've seen that i was confident were true tubs blues, the skirt has always been very brown. the blue center seems to be fairly variable, different tanks/lighting/photoshop/...

i'd say the blues in your pic are more likely to be from the wild colony that came into Z since the skirt isn't really a brown, i can see a hint of it wanting to be grayish/bluish.

i like the Z blues better than tubs. tubs blues didn't get famous for being the best blues, they got famous for being one of the first blues.
