Hi y'all,

It was another great meeting!! Great food, good people to be with, and a great host to boot :)

I cannot thank CRA enough for hosting us and showering us with all the great gifts (again) ! I also would like to thank Debora and company for cooking the wonderful Seafood stew and Mary Ruth for bringing the "Mary Ruth's famous coconut pie" in a short notice (and thank you, H@rry, for the birdsnest in such a short notice, too) !

Mariner ended up with a big skimmer for his new big tank :D . What a timing!! I know he's a good guy and all, but a big skimmer for a brand new big tank??! It's beyond fishy. He's got something going on. Must be the divine intervention. (you know he grows SPS's under normal fluorescent lighting..... wish I had a music clip for The Twilight Zone.)
I think that a new tank break-in party is in order ;)

I agree Tomoko, it was a great meeting. Thanks to John and the CRA staff for once again going over the TOP!

Some days you just get way more blessings than you deserve...this was two of those days in one!
Thanks to John and CRA for a GREAT meeting. I'm VERY thankful to have won the Coralife Superskimmer. Wow!
Not to mention the nice bag of goodies...
And then scoring a couple of brain corals, some candy cane and some BLUE polyps from fellow reefers....
And then having my favorite oxymoron for lunch, JUMBO SHRIMP!...
And then having my favorite pie for dessert -- coconut pie!
If there's any truth to Karma, a piano should fall on me at any moment
:eek1: :p

Jason and I hope to get the new tank set up tomorrow afternoon. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Nicole, I dipped your lobo in a solution of Seachem's Reef Dip for 10 minutes and then put it through a 1 minute FW bath. It seems to have tolerated it all very well. It's in my 40g for now, hoping to put it in the 155g when we get it going.

As always, wonderful hospitality from CRA and a fabulous selection on hand designed to twist your arm into leaving some cash with John.

Yes, I bought that two-town green Acanthastrea lordhowensis. I was going to QT with the live rock it in a tub, but on the drive home I found myself in Petco buying a 20g tank and spent the afternoon installing all of the gear I bought for my new (still wrapped up in storage) 50g on this 20g and making water. Alas, it looks kind of empty with the one rock and little coral in it. And my old 15g I am having the issues with looks mighty scruffy next to a squeaky clean tank. I forgot that my lights are supposed to look kind of blue.

So I guess I am FORCED to go back and buy more rock... you know, as long as I am QT'ing anyway.

And no, I am not fragging the A. lordhowensis any time soon. Ya'll will have to wait.

It should be very healthy and robust -- it's been in tanks virtually dedicated to Lobophyllia for about 3 years now. I hope it colors back up some for you.

I'll add my complements to Johnny, Deborah, and company for a fabulous meal. We enjoyed seeing all you folks and wished we could have stayed longer but the grandkids had their music recital that we had to run to.

Thanx again Johnny, it was a lot of fun.

Thanks to everyone involved! That was one of the best meetings I have ever been to! I got some very nice zoas from John and won the prizm pro skimmer! My brother won the pc retro kit that will fit perfectly in his eclipse 3 hood. (he also sends his thanks to CRA and all involved) I feel like Mariner, it has been a wonderful day.

Just to repeat what has been said but i need to second the complements. I had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone in the club. Thanks go out for everyone present and involved in the meeting, it was a great time with very friendly people. Thank you for the frag, it seems to realy like where I placed it. Special thanks go out to John, and everyone at CRA for all their generosity and preparations, the meal was delicious.

Glad I could make it this time. Just sorry I had to rush off so quick.. I had to leave without getting a few things I needed lol.. Just gives me a reason to go back.. Thanks CRA for hosting us!
