I just wanted to thank Pledosophy and Nanolurker for helping me through Diamox treatment and pouch evac a while back.
I'm happy to report, the horse pulled through and seems to be doing well in the main tank.
He has changed from almost black color to a white, yellow, and peach color.

Thanks again! There is absolutely no way that poor horse would have made it without all of your help.

I even went so far as to get a hold of the senior vet at the Shedd Aquarium, but your detailed instructions on treatment(s) from the pouch evac to the pouch flush to the Diamox treatment really were the most useful.
I'm just glad I didn't have to come ask about force feeding here in this forum!

I caught him the other day trying to court a young female I have in the 130...pouch opened in front of her and very persistant! Not sure if there was an actual transfer, but so happy to see that behavior out of him!

Also, I swear it was like magic. He was upside down until day 4 of treatment. Then I went to check on him and suddenly he was upright! Yes, such a relief!!!
