Hey all,
Just want to thank Johnny at Coral Reef Aquatics for hosting our NARC meeting today. It was great to see the crowd that came out. Hope everyone enjoyed it. I know we didn't have any "wowee" activities planned today, but the door prizes were nice and I hope the brief discussion on feeding corals was helpful.
Stay tuned for details of next months meeting at 8Ball's place...March 17.

I really enjoyed the feeding lesson. It was well worth the drive from Florence. (It was my first meeting, btw).

Now.... I'd like to thank Mariner for the digitata frag. From what I could tell, he gave away several nice frags and I was lucky enough to get one. One of these days, I hope to be away to return the good deeds and give away some frags at meetings as well. (The xenia that I bought from him in Nashville is doing very well in my tank).

Also, thanks to John for giving the attendees a reef club discount. I got a couple of bucks off of a Blasto frag that I was eyeballing yesterday. I made sure to bring my cooler with me today. :)

I just want to repeat what everyone else has said. I drove all the way from tuscaloosa to come. I'm always impressed with john's store. Even my wife said she enjoyed it. It was also good to see everyone, I saw alot of new faces today, that just means we are growing!!

It was a great meeting and it was really good to see all of you guys. It was really nice of John to let us come and have fun. It seems like I did not know 2/3 of the group, though. It's always good to meet new people :)

A definite thank you to John and also to everyone I met today.

New frags are in their new home and looking good. I'll have to take a pic and post it.

Ditto on all of the above!
It was nice talking to you Stephish, what kind of frags did you get?

Thank You Michael for the zoos. I put them in the Nano. :)

Thanx to Johnny for hosting another fun meeting. It was good to see familiar faces and meet new people. And just when there was a lull in the activities, several of us got to go to Beaselbob's house to see what a broomstick can do to a garage door when it gets wedged between a weedeater and something else and then you try to let the door down. Remarkable to say the least. I didn't really realize that a garage door had so many rollers on the edge. By the way, after my gentle suggestion for a meeting at their house (after noticing the pool table) Bob and his wife graciously offered to host our April meeting.

Thank you Mary it was nice talking to you too.

I ended up buying a couple of really nice zoo's, a star polyp and a blue candy cane, all frags of course.

I also picked up a tiger tail cuke which i've decided scares me a bit, thats another thread.

Beaslbob sends a very heart felt thanks to Harry, Bus, and Jeremey for taking the time to move my garage door. It only took about 5 minutes of four guys' work to safely do what would have taken hours to unsafely do alone. thanks.

Thanks Johnny once again for a great time (and great cookies)! Will love to see Verdel in April!

And an 8th month pregnant Shannon in March!!

Thanks John!

I have never seen so many corals in one store. The new tanks were well presented.

As for the Cookies, Hank makes better. Get hank baking more.

llama,

The next meeting will be at 8ball and Shannon's house. He's our club DIYer and would be worth your time to see his set up! Plus there will be LOTS of great food there (more than the usual). Watch this board for the info. It will be on March 17, a Saturday.

Although it's never safe to assume anything out of this bunch, Will will post directions to their house sometime before the meeting.;)

Yep, we will make sure that you get a link to the map and the direction to their house. I will start a new thread on March meeting shortly. Any suggestion for the topic? We can discuss about reef safe fish or the things to avoid? I am sure some of us have some funny stories to tell about the mistake we made in the past.
