In my experience it takes plenty of light to color up any purple monti, plating or Digitata. I have the Tyree Idaho Grape and another unnamed one. The Idaho grape is a nice lavender color and the other one is darker but has blue polyps. I still like the Idaho grape better.
Sorry if you've seen this picture before, the Idaho Grape is in this shot. LED lighting, 400 watts of Sunbrites, placement is mid-level, about 250 PAR as measued with an Apogee meter.

There are alot of neon green plating montis but the nodule growth make it more desirable to me.
