I have a Mac and use this program too! It's well worth the 20 buck. In addition to charting your conditions and scheduling maintenance you can also write notes/blogs for specific dates and track and upload images of all your livestock and organize them into each tank that you have.

If you want something available on both platforms you could use the web based google docs. It basically is setup like excel but you can set permissions so you can use it online anytime, wont have to make a backup of it, and can share your info with your friends.
