I run a 150g DT with a 20g soft coral/sponge tank and 30g sump containing an ATB840 skimmer etc. My tank looks clean but only because I weekly break out the toothbrush and razor blades. I would like to get rid of my algae issues and am considering options.
I have a 110g tank that I have used as my QT for the past year so it has been treated with cupramine, prazipro and paraguard, could I clean this tank enough to plumb it into my system and use it as a large fuge? If not, I would like to plumb in a larger external skimmer and use the space in the 30g for cheato or ATS.
Which would be the best upgrade? If its the skimmer, which skimmer would be best for this system.
