Alright, we currently have a 72g bowfront and we happen to get a 120g Perfecto with a broken center brace for $100. So, I have since fixed the 120 center brace using acrylic and Weld On #16. i will show pictures of that later. For now here is the NOOB custom stand I have started. These pictures are about 2 weeks old. Now,the stand finished and the cabinet doors have been installed and the stand has been painted Satin black. I also built a custom canopy which I will also show pictures of soon.

Some more pictures of the stand and canopy. Everything is still dusty from all the sanding and work in the garage.

Alright here are some more picture. I am running a FRESHWATER test to make sure I do not have leaks. I have been running freshwater for 2 days now and will be doing the switch this Friday. The only thing not in the picture is my Fuge which is still on the other tank. You can see the plumbing for the Fuge and the empty space for it in the pic.

I also got to test my new Vortech MP40W... These things are sweet.

I do not have the canopy on here as you can see. it is finished just waiting on the transfer because I need the lights that are on the other custom DIY hanging light fixture I did.

I also forgot to mention it was good that I did a fresh water test. I found a couple slow leaks in the plumbing that I was able to fix.

:)

Alright the switch went well. We did not lose anything so far. We have not done any aquascaping since we are ordering 150lbs of macro rock. I will then do the aquascaping. We basically jsut threw the rock in there for now and put all the frags on frags racks for the most part.

I did the lighting on a free floating platform that can be raised and lowered for getting in and out of the tank and you can see from the pictures.

Sorry nothing pretty yet

A couple more random pics. I still have not got my other vortech back from Ecotech so I have not put them in yet. Just running Koralia's for the time being. we are putting in a order for 150lbs of Macro Rock. I will be doing custom aquascaping with Fiberglass rods, drill , and epoxy (maybe)

Again, we jsut transfered everything 5 days ago. So far so good!

Nice Build! One question: (I am no professional plumber by any means) but I have never seen braided vinyl hose being glued directly into PVC. Is it secure enough? Usually I see PVC converted to a hose barb fitting and the vinyl hose attached to the barb with a hose clamp. I may be completely wrong, in which case, I learn something new every day!

keep up the good work.

I'm just curious, is the tank half on tile and half on carpet? did you check to see if it's level when full?

Looks nice otherwise.
