The Coral Reef

I am not sure how many of you have ever gone to the fish stores in Knoxville but I just wanted to suggest if you are in the area you need to stop by the The Coral Reef. When we were over there we stopped by both and I would defiinitley go back to the Coral Reef. If you went there in the past and was not impressed it is now owned by Mat (fishboy) AKA the Master clown breeder at SA. It is a smaller store then the other one but I liked the selection and would not have to sell any kids to buy things.

I am not sure the offer the 10% club discount that our stores do but if you go you could ask Mel (AKA Evil Mel or the Model from Knoxville that has tattoos all over).

Definitely worth the stop. Also they have a swap coming in June.

Cool, thanks for the information. I almost stopped there last Thanksgiving (I got off the interstate to avoid traffic and passed it) but wasn't sure if it was worth it. I'll swing in next time I'm out there.

The Coral Reef is DEFINITELY an awesome store. I feel the same as Wayne. Before Matt bought it, it was ok, but a little creepy to be honest. All concrete, kinda weird vibe in there. Last time I was there over spring break, it was awesome! Very lively, great selection of animals, great stuff!

And I can definitely say they honor the MTRC discount.

Just stumbled onto this thread.

I live in Lexington, KY and we were down there earlier in the week. I found this store in the phone book and thought it was awesome! Some of the cleanest tanks I have seen in a store. Very lively and healthy fish and the coral selection was incredible compared to what we have locally.
