The Difference

Besides location, is there any difference between

Centropyge aurantonotus:

and Centropyge acanthops?

Also, how could you possibly know the difference, walking into a fish store and seeing a Flameback? Do they have any markings which separate them from each other?

The caudal fin is different in color. The Acanthops has a yellow tail the aurantonotus has a blue fin. They are very similar fish but the Aurantonotus gets a little bit larger. Both can be a tad on the aggressive side. I have had an african flameback and they are one of my favorite dwarf angel (lost it to a ac outage while I was at a conference).
