The Feed Me Dance....

Anyone else have clowns that do the feed me dance? I come up to the tank, and if it is time to eat(or not....really..), both of my clowns swim to the top of the tank, start poking their heads up out of the water, swimming on top of the water, and tail dancing. It is pretty damn funny.

What do your clowns do when they see you approach the tank?

I know it seems hard to believe but my clowns can see me open the kitchen cabinet remove their food and recognize the package and then start carrying on. If I remove anything else from the cupboard I get no response, as soon as they see the fish food it's wiggle time.

It's actually not hard to believe at all. Mine behave noticeably differently if I have their fish food container in my hand. MUCH more excited behavior. They usually just come to the top to check me out if I'm near the tank, but once they see that container? It's action time! lol

Mine do nothing when I come to the tank unless I have a glass cup or the turkey baster.

Funny sometimes to go to the tank with a beer in a glass in your hand.

I have my fish classically conditioned to when i tap on the glass i feed them...when i tap they all come swimming to their feeding spot...

With all my fish it depends on what I do when I walk up to the tank. If I bend over to look in and inspect things, they really couldn't care. Of if I walk up and sit down on the bench we have in front of the tank, they don't care. But if I walk up holding the food dispensing dropper and a shot glass, everyone congregates right in front of where I'm standing. Even my cleaner shrimp. He climbs to the top of whatever rock is in front of where I'm at.
