Well, a little progress...
Tha actinic lights are in, but I'll be back to those when I scrounge some more parts...
$1 store superglue gel and some used plumbing had made this a funtional sump... with a great place to build a skimmer in... its doing a 24 hour leak test now... The blue caps are just their till it all cures. Not sure what I will do with the 2 1.5" bulkheads, but thats what fit in the holes, and I had some used ones. Extra acrylic came from an old salad bar hood... not sure why I had that. Pipe in the side is for top off, either auto or otherwise.
Surge tank seems operational.. should give the tank an occational 20X turnover rate. the 11w pump will also feed the fuge I haven't built yet.. I ran it in the tub for 6 hours. No leaks.
And scavenged some basic LED light. I think it was part of an exit sign, and the transformer is off a dead hydrolic unit that a guy never paid me to fix.
This is just basic light to see in the tank, not to grow coral (though it might)... thats still coming.
The actinic bulbs are here, the 3w deals are not.... so the hood is still on hold. I'm thinking I might build it all out of acrylic because it is something I have around... along with a couple dozen tubes of superglue..
