The hairy purple stuff...

My tank has been fine up until a couple of weeks ago. I didn't add anything new or do anything different. Now the purple hairy stuff is slowly taking over. Am I going to be able to totally get rid of this stuff, or will I just have to try to keep it under control?

looks like cyano bacteria. How long has your tank been setup? Do you use RO/DI water?

I do use RO/DI water set up on an automatic top-off. The tank has been re-setup since August of last year. I have many SPS and LPS that are all doing great. the cyano just came up about 2-3 weeks ago and is slowly spreading.
