The hole in my wall signifies the hole in my heart...

Well it's done. The 90 reef is gone, and I am actually quite releived. I can't wait to get my next electricity bill! :D According to the calculator on the RC homepage, I should save about 45 bucks a month, which will be roughly half my bill. I'm guessing it will be a little less than $45, however.

Anyways, I made the sarcastic comment to a good friend "The hole in my wall signifies the hole in my heart... my fishies are gone." :( Although it was a little hard netting my fish for the last time, I am very happy it's over. Today I set my de-humidifier to 35% and it has yet to kick on. Amazing...

Aw Alan it still makes me sad. I really loved your tank and enjoyed you at the meetings and stuff. You can still hang around here lol.
Gawd I WISH my electric bill was $90 lmao. I don't think it was ever that even when we first moved in and had no tanks 23 yrs ago.

Haha yea... well normally my electric has been around 110 a month. My electric has been steady at $.10 per KWH, obviously I use around 1,100 KHW per month. I plugged in the specs from my tank in the KHW calculator on the RC home page, and it says my tank was using about 470 KWH per month. lol

But, if you consider: I live alone in a small house with mostly gas apliances. The most electricity I use now is probably from the fridge. :)

Just an update. I just pulled an all nighter, taking care of the hole in my wall. I decided to move my FW 75 (with my oscar and jack dempsey) from upstairs down into the place of the hole. I forgot how heavy an empty 75 gallon tank is... guess I should have enlisted some help rather than breaking my back. lol
