The last pics... for a while

I've decided to empty out my tank and start from scratch. And speaking of scratches, I'll get rid of those when the tank is empty. Redo the plumbing and electrical... who knows- I may even get a bigger tank. Anyhow- this is probably the last new picture you'll see of my favorite fish Mr. Starry Blenny:

There are more unedited pictures of other fish and some of my corals, and I'll post them as I get them done, but I just had to share my sad/happy news :p

so is Mr. Blenny going on vacation in another of your tanks (assuming you have another one) or a friends' tank?

A friends yeah. Today I'm removing all the corals I can without moving the rockwork and the next time I have a whole free day I'll remove the rocks and fish... that is not going to be fun :(

Thanks all! I got to bagging corals today and man it was sad. Luckily the friends tank where everything went is an awesome 180g reef tank. The lady who owns it uses the same salt as I do (Ocean Pure) and has very similar parameters- it was, literally, 5 minutes in the new tank and all the corals had good polyp extension. That surprised me even though I knew my stuff would do well in her tank 'cause I moved a couple clams in there two weeks ago and they opened up right away.
Here's another version of the same fish in the same clam- I have about 50 shots like this :p

This is the last of my blennies that uses the clam as a chair:

Funny thing is all three of these blennies were really shy for maybe three months but eventually they all came out of their shell so to speak :p

Sorry to hear you're tearing it down ... very nice images though ... as always! looking forward to what new setup you may have in mind.

Good luck to you Greg in the repairs/potential upgrade. I just did a consolidation and that was bad enough. I feel for ya.

And, as always, LOVE the blenny shots!

I missed this thread somehow, Greg.

Good luck with everything, I know how hard it is to tear down beautiful tank like yours was. If you can, go for the larger size tank this time, just imagine how many more corals you can put in there... :p

Well... I'm the boy who cried wolf :p Changed my mind and am not tearing this tank down. Much of the reason I decided to tear it down was based on acro losses over the last year- and now know that it was because of acro eating flatworms. So I removed most of the acros and found out I really liked the way it looks now. So all the blennies get to stay where they are :)
