Hello everyone, im currently planning on getting a 125 FOWLR aqurarium. The guidlines are.

1 or maybe 2 Volitan Lions
Cleaner crabs, such as hermits and sally light foots and starfish

and i'd like to have an eel i could feed mollies and frozen food. Something that wont try to eat my lions and can stay out of eachothers way.

any suggestions?

Sounds like it could work. My volitans and eel get along just fine.

Yes i have read it, a couple of times actually. So is there any type of eel i could put in that wouldnt eat the lions? Or any other suggestion of a fish i could put in there if i just had one lion? Im really just wanting to suggestions, so i guess the question would be what would be a cool tankmate in 125 with lots of rockwork for a Volitans Lionfish?

you could keep a zebra moray or snowflake eel. I have had my zebra moray for nearly 5 years, kept it with even small fish such as clowns, royal gramma, and right now, baby harlequin tuskfish. it has never bothered a fish, ever. it won't eat feeder fish or fish strips either, though. I feed mine shrimp, scallops, live fiddler crabs...

Boxfish? Foxface? Angels? Hawkfish? A SFE would probably work, but would it eat the crabs?

I dont know, i just want something that has personality and looks awesome. Something really predatory and makes a mess of whatever it chooses to eat. I havent set the tank up yet so im up for anything that is absolutely vicous towards feeders, awesome personality, and looks cool. Im putting money down towards a 125 gallon but im sure i could bump that up to a 180 if i had to.

LisaD.... How small is your Harlequin Tusk? I've never seen one available under 5". If yours is smaller, may I ask where you got it? Australian? Hawaiian? Picture?

I had never seen one that small before either, that's why I boght it. It's about 2 inches, I got it from a store called Aquatic Concepts in Durham, NC. I don't know the origin. I don't have any pics, will try to get some.

It looks just like the one midway down the page of this article:
