Pretty much one is the drain the other the return, I had some closeups of that but I have to retake them. We will start working on the move later this week if all goes well.
Here are a few more pics of the progress:
This is the manifold construction process. The manifolds are the skeletal structure to which the rock work will be fixed. The tubing will serve a dual purpose of placing flow behind and around that rockwork as well as providing some support.
Here is a test firing of one of the pumps through the manifold.
A basic idea of how the system will be positioned inside the tank.
The assemblies will be powered by 2 internal ViaAqua 4900s.
This is where the pump are supposed to plug into the manifold system.
After examining this all day Im not sure there will be enough flow through the manifolds for the system? I am sure the tower overflows are going to work 100%
I'll post more as we continue to test ideas, follow along this will be fun.
Oh. Didn't realize this post was old, lol. When I went into JoMars after the September meet, they had 2 large pipes covered in snail shells, rubble, etc. Even had a leather in it!!!
We installed the Tunze 6100 a few weeks back and added a few more fish. Now I need a light for it and we are off to the races. Coraline algae is starting to grow on the overflow tubes.
Are you ready for that Sailfin tang yet lol he is a beauty we have had him for a year lol he is getting a little big for our 46 lol he will be a wonderfull addition to the tank
I doubt we will have room in this one man, but we are in talks to set up a 265 Display behind the counter soon, if so thats where she should go. Those guys get HUGE and need some serious room.
