of the pebbletooths, I've found banded and snowflakes to be very common, even during the day...as for piscivores, I've had G. moringa which is out and about quite frequently, but some of the others I've kept are pretty reclusive IME (like M. lentigosa, G. fimbriatus, G. nudimover).
I imagine it can also depend on individual specimens, and how comfortable they are with their tank. I imagine big eel like teselata and funebris can be pretty bold and active, but have no experience with adults of either.
