IYO, what is the most personable nano fish?

In other words, if you could only have one fish in your nano, what would it be?

Thanks,

Yellow watchman goby. LIke a yellow frog with an attitude and a curiosity about everything you do.

sixline wrasse because their really active. awesome colors and their funny because if u watch them their eyes r always going crazy when their swimming cuz their looking for food in the rocks.

Agree with six line wrase, or clown fish, fire fish. What ever floats your boat. My friend has a hell fridge in his.

what is a hell fridge? What size tank you keeping? Nano tanks are pretty limited to what we can keep. =( Is it going to be reef? Or FOWLR? Depends on your size tank and what you plan on keeping. IF it's FOWLR and a larger nano I'd say a flame angel or a coral beauty! Flames are gorgeous! Too bad they eat our LPS and SPS. =( It's so funny, I went to a reef meeting and this lady has a 2500 gallon reef. It's so beautiful. She has 4 flame angels in hers. I guess their damage is limited in such a large reef huh? I'm personally shooting for the Mandarin and the sole fish in my 40 reef. Yes everyone, don't worry I'll have cultures, and a 20 gallon refugium, and tons of LR. He's my main goal. So I have to wait a while to get him, but in the meantime I get get some awesome coralage going. ;-) Whoa, I sound like a surfer. Sheesh. It's late. I might get a black perc pair. Tells us your volume Snoop. =)

Well I'm thinkin of setting up a nano because I'm "in-between tanks" and I miss having one. I was thinkin a small 12 or 24g with one fish, mostly I want to focus on corals and inverts.

I personally like my bi color blenny because when I put my face against the tank he thinks I'm competition for algae cleaning and he charges at me :lol2: ... I have a six line as well and it took him a very very long time not to be afraid of me when I come near the tank, but now he poses and shows off his spiky fins.

Every nano fish has it's own characteristics ... you should watch a few and find out what is to your liking and tank expectations.

Right now Pet Solutions has a good price on the JBJ deluxe nano cube...worth looking into. I like it cuz it's glass instead of acrylic, I also bought the deluxe stand with storage underneath and it's very sturdy and easy to put together. Mine's a 24 gallon by the way...only mod I made was to up grade the pump that comes with it to a Maxijet 900...nice flow.
I down graded from LARGE tanks, but am happy with the easy up keep on this. Lights are enough for zoas and stuff...I have 2 baby perc's and a yellow headed jawfish along with one small yellow finned fairy wrasse. I also have a very small Red Sea tang with flowing fins and lots of yellow..(will get big I know but after he does he will have a nice home in a 300 gallon tank). I do a 5 gallon water change every 3rd day, don't need a skimmer that way. I also added a Rio 600 hidden under a ledge to increase the flow.

i will chime in that the bi-color is a very personable fish. i have one in a 10 gal that hops from perch to perch throughout the day, and is my only fish to prefer flake food over any other kind of food! recently he's taken to hanging out on the Maxi-jet hook that holds the powerhead to the top of the tank, and darts out for food or whenever i walk into the room!

Ladipyg -- Thanks Ill look into that. What do you think about the aquapod vs the JBJ?

Bicolor seems to be the most popular... I was thinking about maybe a single jawfish, or possibly a neon goby and a tiny clown goby. I really want as little waste as possible (read less maintence)
