The nightmare scenario just happened

I was watching TV and all of a sudden I hear a BANG and what sounded like the bath tub was running. I ran in to see 1/3 of my tank water in the carpet next to the tank. Not only did I sprint to get every towel in my apartment, I got shocked really badly when I tried to move the outlets out of the way of the pouring water.

Not a good night at all

I'm fortunate as I only had a 16 Nuvo and had to clean up 5-7 gallons of water. I'm hoping to set up a temporary something tomorrow so I don't lose all of my coral.

Although I may be getting out after this.

Where are you located? Do you need a place for your corals? I have a 125 that's sparsely decorated, I have room.

Nuvo had a bad run for a while for this exact reason. Contact the company. This is a widely spread problem with these tanks. Don't let this issue discourage you....

+1 rov. They stopped making that tank for a while because of that. Call innovative marine. Should be able to get it replaced.

Even if IM offered to send me another tank I would tell them no thank you. They look great, but clearly are made as cheaply as possible. I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing that it was just a matter of time until it happened again.

damn that sucks... if you need a temporary tank, I have 10g and a 20g in my garage that you can borrow until your new tank comes in.

yeah I sold my nuvo 16 and the next owner had it crack on them within a week.........im just glad it didn't happen to me..... IM sent them a new tank right away.
