The perfect clean up crew for a 65g?

I have about 135 pounds of live rock in my 65g tank. I curious to know in what proportion should I have the clean up crew? For examples, How many snails, how many hermits and stars ect. What would be the perfect combination for my 65g?

Nass. snails are great . A sand sifting goby is the best bet for the SB. Most say hermits arent good but dont add to many , they will just fight and kill for the best shell. Best if you add a bunch of empty shells to help prevent this. Some turbo snails but they tend to knock stuff over.

Most these guys ( besides the sand sifting goby ) are to help control algea out breaks.
Algea will always be around so the key is control by water quailty , flow , fish stock , not overstocking or overfeeding or adding to much stock to fast.

How old is the tank is the bigger question. Newer tanks need a lesser crew.

For my 65g has:

20 Asteria Snails
7 Nasaarius Snails
3 Cerith Snails
6 Scarlet Hermit Crabs
1 Queen Conch
1 Fighting Conch

1 Big Mexican Turbo in the fuge...and he's a fat and happy camper:)

Hermits get a bad rap and the scarlets are excellent community crabs that won't harm a thing.

Finally, DO NOT think of putting a sand sifting goby in a new tank unless you want to see it starve to death. There's just not enough in your sand yet to keep it alive and healthy. Wait at least a year if not more.

thank you, I put in the snails and they just seem to move EXTREAMLY slow! and they don't seem to clean up anything. however the hermits have got to be the best at cleaning my new live rock i got! So right now I have about 3 really big hermits and about 10 1/2 inch snails. I won't to get one big conch though or a big fighting conch. Oh and I also put in two small peppermint shrimp about one inch big and I NEVER saw them ever again. I know they didn't get eaten because these guys are really quick around the tank.

thanks for the advice all!
