Just wanted to post a pic of the tank now as it is doing well, still a bit of alge here and there and added some rock this AM (hence the white rock)

Nice! I see a vortech pump in there. Sweet! I like how you aquascaped.

Yes, I like it. Is the vortec working out for you? Do you feel you need another pump on the other side of the tank?

I like it a lot! no this one is plenty of flow but two on a wave maker would rock

Great! I cant wait to see this in action. Are you going to have this in your tank during the meet? I was kinda hoping to feel the flow. I just got a Tunze myself and so far I like the pulsing flow action but having a hard time getting use to the size. Its bigger than I thought.

Yep it will be running in the tank, its my only source of flow now (well the return from the sump but that's not much) but it gives great movement over 100% of the tank

Have you heard anything on the Vortech controllers like features and availability? Thanks!

I remember hearing by years end but not 100% sure
I know there working hard on them trying to get it out on the market

Icecap has said the Battery backup "should" be available Precluding a beta melt-down, in a month, but in limited numbers.
and it looks like they have started shipping the Vortech again so they will be much easier to get soon
