The Rock of all Rocks for Sale

I am beginning the process of breaking my tank down for sale. I am selling my house and for various reasons this is my best option. (Besides, the tank was starting to look great and was far too stable :) ). So I do not have to get out of the hobby all together, I am hoping to sell some stuff quickly so I can by some type of nano'ish size setup.

I will be posting other items shortly, but want to start with what I call "The Rock". It is a gorgeous 45 lb piece of live rock. Has lots of coralline algae and a ton of reef safe critters on it. This rock alone will boost your tanks filtering capabilities! But wait, is that all... not at all. Act today and I will throw in the 8+ SPS frags growing on it! All have nice growth and are looking great.

What would you pay for this amazing offer? $500, $400... call now and mention special offer code "Let me take that off your hands" and I'll drop the price to just $200. (Or best offer... no special terms and conditions apply)

Give me a call or stop on by. I have other nice pieces available at very cheap prices and will bundle deals. I'll create additional threads for those items in a few days.

I will also be selling my equipment as I move out the livestock. Equipment includes a 72" Nova Extreme Pro T5 light with new bulbs. (~$400) and a MSX 250 Skimmer (~$275) Both are less than 9 months old and work very well. I have good SPS growth with both supporting my system.

Sorry to hear you gotta break it down Michael, But you can always do it again. I look at it as a learning experience.

For anyone who has not seen this rock (or should I say island) it is an awesome piece. I have never seen such a nice piece around in years.

Thans Rick... It was great learning experience and I hope to have the smaller system running before this is fully broken down. Just need to sell enough to cover most of the cost of the new tank.

---

As a size reference, it is a little larger than the size of one of the Critter's 5 gallon water jugs.

ZachB ... your mailbox is full :)

I would be willing to sell the Rock alone, but the price would only drop a bit as the SPS was going along cheap. I am open to options. Anyone can give me a shout at: 5 8 3 - W O L F

Thanks, just cleaned it up some. Got any ideas of the dimensions of the rock? It would be going in a 75 - 48l x 18w x 21h - think it would fit?

Michael - I see that you mention that you will post the other items in the next few days. Do you have any pics of the other corals that you are interested in parting with?

I am interested in the "Rock" as well...

Thanks.

Scott

I am interested in the "Rock" as well...

Thanks.

Scott

All you, I just purchased a set of MH bulbs instead.

Ugh! Always bad timing, as my new 90 gal is just sitting in the garage empty. We're awaiting new hardwood... It would be perfect in it though, especially since it's 36x24x25...any chance you can hold it until October, LOL...just kidding...

scottkel ... Since ZachB is out, I think you are next. Were you interested in the rock and the SPS on it? I am really hoping to sell it as a package and am giving the SPS at a low additional cost to the rock itself.

I would be interested in the rock (with the 8+ SPS on it) as well as other possible SPS or LPS that you might have... What type of price are you thinking?

Anything you can do to sweeten the special offer code "Let me take that off your hands" deal! Thanks!

Scott

Yeah the rock is to big for my tank I was interested in for the sps and your lps. When you start saleing them.

scottkel, Well the $200 is already a very good price for the rock itself with the SPS on it. Come and get it soon and I will throw in another larger Unknown SPS "“ Pale Yellow - ~3x4x2 inch in size.

Most of the coral has been sold except The Rock itself and a few pieces listed below. Thanks to those that came out and helped my new adventure begin. I will order my new tank tomorrow and hopefully have it up as soon as it arrives.

The Skimmer and Light are also pending sale. I'll post a sale thread for the remaining unspoken for fish and equipment in a day or so.

Fish:
- ~4" Sailfin Tang - 25$
- ~4" Foxface Lo - $25
- Small Spotted / Pajama Cardinal - $10
- Very peaceful Yellow Tail Damsel free to anyone who buys something. Is a very good tank-mate.

Equipment:
- Reeflo Barracuda Water Pump - ~ 2-3 Years old in good working shape for $75
- Misc Equipment such as heater (250 and 300), Korilla 3 (2) and a 4 and a few odds and ends.

Remaining Coral:
Green Brain "“ 5-6" - $30
Kenya Tree "“ Small ~4-5" On 4" piece of live rock - $15
Unknown SPS "“ Pale Yellow - ~3x4x2 inch in size - Will give along with The Rock if full price is paid.

Reeflo Barracuda Water Pump - Maximum flow rate of 4,500gph, a shut off head of 18 feet, and maximum wattage of 325/ 2 amps.

I have it throttled back a bit for my setup now and it is drawing about 1 Amp and is pushing a lot of water. I have been very happy with it. I will include the unions and as much plumping as you want.

Korilias are about 9 months old. Based on the ridiculous pricing on the Docs site, I am thinking $20 for each 3 and $30 for the 4. These will be available as soon as The Rock is picked up.

New items available since this thread seems to be working fine for everything:
- BRS "DUAL" GFO and Carbon Reactor w/ MJ 1200. Less than a year old. Asking $40.
- I have two Quiet One 3000's - Less than a year old and in great working order. $20 each. (and yes, they are indeed quiet! :) )
- I also have a 72" Dual Compact Bulb light with Moonlights which is a few years old and needs at least two new ballasts. Asking 25$ OBO
