Well this is the worst tank I have seen on the internet and in person.
(click to see what I mean!)

And 15 hours of my work on it,
new skimmer and whatever....

So what's the worst SW tank/reef or whatever you've seen?

That green grass tank looks oddly pretty. I will have to go take a picture of the really nice tank at the surgical center where my son just had an outpatient procedure done. Really nice LeeMar 120gallon with wall to wall aptasia, except for the one small spot of hair algae.

thats funny, My 125 looked alot like that- GHA so thick you could braid it. Now I have none- the only thing I different was to tie off the top of my filter sock so no water could bypass it, then cleaned it regularly, siphoned out some of the thick mean green, and starved the rest, totally gone in 5 weeks...just think of how many people get into the hobby but can;t stop GHA, only to sell off and lose all that money to the craigslist vultures like me:)

"But I bought a blue tang... he just won't touch the stuff"

LOL! Nice tank, I bet the nitrates are 0 and the phosphate is 0 and the water parameters are perfect!

This thread is going to be great! Found this one on craigslist. That lionfish has got to love that 30 gallon.

I have an established 30gallon saltwater aquarium with beautiful fish!
it has a brand new heater, 2 brand new filters, and brand new powerhead blower!
the fish i have is what really makes this tank beautiful
i have 4in Lion fish
a 6/7in snowflake eel
and 2 3in greenspotted puffers

I was selling a rather large regal tang on my local reef club forums and one of the people who wanted to buy it was planning on housing it in a 20g. No, I didn't sell it to him.

It's not as bad as the GHA garden tank, but here is my submission. Caused by a freshly cycled tank, sunlight streaming into it before I put curtains up (remodeling sucks), and a malfunctioning skimmer pump.

I'm not actually sure what type of algae it was. It looked identical to bryopsis up close, but was very long and streaming. The foxface and tang devoured it and it's since gone.

Just LOVE the entries!

I've been checking out craigslist as well. I can't believe people have the nerve to put some of the tanks I've seen up for sale with all the "crap" in it!

That second tank looks like an overgrown iwagumi freshwater tank lol. I got to be honest, if I came across a tank that someone had neglected that bad, I would probably take it if it was offered to me. I would actually enjoy the challenge of taking something like that and turning it around. Those poor ye..white tangs.
